Know your people
Everything you know about someone, in your own words, on their page.
- Things to remember, pinned at the top
- How you met: the place and the date
- A dated diary of what they told you
- WhatsApp, call, message or email in one tap
Public beta · iPhone, iPad and Mac
A diary of the people you know and the promises you make. One page each. Say it, scan it or share it, and Blackbook remembers for you.
Free during the beta. No account, no sign-up.
What it does
A real black book has a page for each person: who they are, how you met, what they care about, what you promised. You open it before you call them. That is the whole app.
Everything you know about someone, in your own words, on their page.
Every “I'll send it Monday” becomes a promise with a date.
Say it, scan it or share it. Blackbook writes the page, and you check it and save.
How it works
Tap the microphone and say who you met and what you promised.
“Met Priya Nair at Cityscape, wants the deck, I'll send it Monday.”
Blackbook fills in the name, how you met and the promise with its date, on your device. Fix anything, then save.
On Monday you get a nudge. Tap Kept it. Home shows what's late today and how your word has held up.
Privacy
Wireside Studios runs no servers and cannot see your book. Your pages live on your devices and in your own private iCloud database, and they sync between your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Everywhere you are
Tabs on iPhone. A sidebar, a list and a reading pane on iPad and Mac, with keyboard shortcuts. Your calendar and Reminders, when you want them.
The beta is free and open now. Tell us what works and what doesn't, straight from the app.
Questions
No. There is no pipeline, no team and no dashboard. Blackbook is for one person who wants to remember people well and follow through on what they said. Anyone whose work runs on relationships can use it: agents, consultants, founders, recruiters, freelancers, or anyone who wants to be a better friend.
On your devices and in the private iCloud database of your Apple Account. Wireside Studios has no servers and cannot read it. If you turn iCloud off, Blackbook keeps working on the one device.
Nothing. The beta is free on TestFlight.
Yes. The beta and the App Store version use the same iCloud book, so your pages come with you when you update. Blackbook also keeps automatic backups you can restore from Settings.
Never. Blackbook drafts and reminds; you decide what to send and when. WhatsApp, Messages and Mail open with the person ready, and you press send yourself.
The app is in English. Card scanning reads English and Arabic, and Blackbook understands UAE phone numbers and Gulf currencies.
